Step 4: Confirm Account Removal

After selecting Remove Account, you’ll see a notification warning you that removing the account will result in the loss of access to all linked data and apps (such as Gmail, Google Play, Contacts, etc.). If you agree, confirm the action.

Important Information Before Removing an Account

  • Backup Your Data: Make sure to back up any important data since removing the account will delete it from your phone.
  • App Access: Many apps use your Google account for login. You will need to log in again to these apps after removing the account.
  • Synchronization: Removing the account will stop syncing contacts, calendars, and other data.

What to Do if the "Remove Account" Button is Unavailable?

If the Remove Account option is unavailable, it may be because the device has Factory Reset Protection (FRP) enabled. In this case, you may need to disable the screen lock (PIN, password, or pattern) first. Then, try again.
