How to Change the Interface Language in Windows 10
Changing the interface language in Windows 10 is simple and can be helpful for users who need to work in a different language or want to customize their system to their preferences. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up a new display language.
Step 1: Open Windows Settings
Start by opening “Settings”. You can do this by clicking the “Start” button and selecting the gear icon. Alternatively, use the Win + I
keyboard shortcut to access the settings window directly.
Step 2: Go to “Time & Language”
In the settings window, select “Time & Language”, and then click on the “Language” tab on the left side.
Step 3: Add a New Language
In the “Preferred languages” section, click “Add a language”. A list of available languages will appear. Use the search bar to find the language you need, and select it.
After selecting the language, click “Next” and choose any additional features you may want (such as language packs for text, speech recognition, etc.). Then, click “Install”.
Step 4: Set the New Language as the Default
Once the new language is installed, go back to the “Language” section. In the “Preferred languages” list, find the language you added, click on it, and select “Set as default”. The system will then prompt you to sign out and sign back in for the changes to take effect.
Step 5: Restart Your Computer
To fully apply the new interface language, restart your computer. Once it restarts, the system will display in the new language you selected.
