How to Exit Full-Screen Mode in Windows
Full-screen mode is convenient for working with applications or games, but sometimes you need to return to the regular view. Here are several methods to exit full-screen mode in Windows.
1. Use the F11 Key
Most applications, such as browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.), support exiting full-screen mode by pressing the F11 key. Try pressing F11 to quickly switch between full-screen and windowed modes.
2. Alt + Enter Key Combination
In some programs and games, you can use the Alt + Enter combination to exit full-screen mode. This works for many games and applications, though not universally.
3. Esc Key
If an application uses full-screen mode to display content (such as videos or presentations), pressing the Esc key often exits to windowed mode. This is especially useful in media players and presentation programs.
4. Use Alt + Tab and the Taskbar
If none of the above methods work, try using Alt + Tab to switch between applications, then close the necessary application through the taskbar or Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
5. Use Application Settings
In some cases, you may need to go into the application’s settings to exit full-screen mode. For example, in games or professional programs like Photoshop, the option may be available under the “Settings” or “View” menu.
