How to Remove Ads in uTorrent

uTorrent is one of the most popular torrent clients, but its free version comes with intrusive ads that can be distracting and may slow down the app. In this article, we'll show you how to disable ads in uTorrent with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Open uTorrent Settings

First, launch uTorrent and go to the “Options” menu. You can do this from the top menu by selecting “Options” → “Preferences” or simply pressing Ctrl + P on your keyboard.

Step 2: Go to the “Advanced” Section

In the settings window, navigate to the “Advanced” tab. Here you will find a list of all the program’s parameters. You can disable the ad components by changing a few key options. Use the search bar at the top to quickly find the parameters you need.

Step 3: Disable Ad Options

Type the following parameters one by one in the search bar and change their values:

• offers.left_rail_offer_enabled — set to false.
• offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled — set to false.
• gui.show_plus_upsell — set to false.
• gui.show_notorrents_node — set to false.
• offers.content_offer_autoexec — set to false.

To change the value of a parameter, double-click on it and choose false, or click Yes in the confirmation window that appears.

Step 4: Restart uTorrent

After making these changes, you need to restart uTorrent for them to take effect. Close the program and open it again.
