How to Turn Off Notification Sounds in Windows 10

  1. Open Settings by clicking the Start button and selecting Settings (gear icon) or by pressing Win + I.
  2. Go to System and select Notifications & Actions.
  3. Find the option Get notifications from apps and other senders and turn it off to completely deactivate all notifications. If you only want to disable sound while keeping visual notifications, leave this option on.
